Women In Action
“By 2035, 100 million young women and girls will transform power structures to create justice, gender equality and a world without violence and war; leading a sustainable YWCA movement, inclusive of all women.”
- world YWCA goal 2035
Helping every woman never doubt that she is Valuable & Powerful
The YWCA is a global movement powered by grassroots efforts and led by women, young women, and girls. When #YoungWomenLead, we create positive change in Nigeria and the world at large. In line with our vision/mission YWCA is committed to ending racism, empowering women, and advocating for peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for everyone. We’ve been at the forefront of the biggest issues facing the Christian woman/girl in Nigeria since 1906, working to improve the lives of women, girls, and communities
Our Impact is to End Racism & Empower Women
YWCA Nigeria seeks to champion the causes of women, girls and the less privileged of the society in the areas of the Millennium Development Goals.
For more than 160 years, the YWCA has been dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering women. From the very beginning, YWCAs nationwide have been at the forefront, advocating for the rights of women, girls, and marginalized communities while tackling critical issues. Today, we remain committed to advancing an inclusive agenda that confronts the deep-rooted challenges of gender inequality and racial injustice in our country. We invite you to stand with us and take action on key priorities in health, economic equity, safety, and racial justice that directly impact women and communities.
